We were sort of stuck in a rut, felt very comfortable and didn’t have a lot of change. We needed to increase our communication and find a new way to operate. We had been in business for over 30 years. I’m a third-generation family owner and what worked 30-35 years ago isn’t going to work today. One of the first lessons we learned from Doug was balance of life and time. It’s amazing how we were able to carve out a few hours each week to work on our business.
